Certified Organic Food = Good Karma

Certified Organic Food = Good Karma

Questions that keep me up at night:

  • Is there a way to guarantee that the earth, where our food comes from, is treated with respect? That soil is replenished so it can continue to grow healthy food for our future grandkids instead of being bombed with chemicals and depleted of nutrients?
  • How do I make sure that the animals used in food production are treated well, given healthy food to eat and space to move and not doped up with antibiotics and drugs?
  • How do I make sure the food I eat is from natural sources and hasn't been genetically modifed? No GMOs!
  • Does anyone check to make sure that the claims food companies make are real instead of just marketing labels?
Fortunately there is one easy answer for all those questions. When food is certified USDA Organic, it means that the final product has gone through strict production, handling and labeling standards, and that there is a government agency that is certifying and enforcing the rules. For all those reasons, organic food is usually more expensive to produce, so you want to make sure you get what you're paying for. That is why Pop Karma is certified USDA Organic. You can learn more about what it entails here.
