Portion Control and Convenience for Big Snack Bags

My friend Sarah showed me a genius hack for portion-controlling popcorn and making it convenient to carry.

In the debate between big bags of Pop Karma and single-serve bags, the single-serve bags win in terms of convenience and portion control. You can't eat more popcorn than what's in the little bag, and they are oh-so-easy to carry.

The big bags are more environmental and provide better value. But sometimes you can't resist eating more than you want when you have a big bag.

What if there was a simple way to control your portion size AND make your popcorn convenient to carry with a big bag of popcorn? Well there is!

  1. Pour your popcorn into a bowl that is the serving size you want to eat. If you want to treat yourself, put it in a pretty bowl. If you're on the go, pour it into a tupperware, take-out soup container, or a ziplock bag.
  2. Put a clip on the big bag to keep it fresh, then put it in the cabinet. Forget about it.
  3. Voila! Eat your perfect portion of popcorn or toss it in your bag to go.

Forget about it? Seriously? Have you tried your popcorn? It is unforgettable.
